In normal times, the Dun Cow is an excellent gastropub with a good range of beers and wines and an interesting menu focusing on local produce - especially seafood. My recent visit was obviously not in normal times, but the experience was still very good. The menu was pared down but still provided quality. Go there if and when you can - you won't be disappointed.

Enjoyed a very good meal, with great views over the salt marshes towards the sea. All the staff were friendly and efficient. Felt very safe and comfortable with the Covid measures in place. On street parking available immediately outside the pub. We followed our meal with a walk across the marshes and down to the beach.
We had the fish platter to share and the fish stew. Platter was very good, a bit too much tomato in the stew but otherwise not bad. They put us in the room in the back and given the current situation I was happy as it was not crowded. Busier in the front of the pub with more atmosphere but that obviously means more risk these days. Good service. The wine was a bit pricey for what you get but nothing outrageous.
Made a slight detour to lunch here after reading all the fantastic reviews that this is the best food for miles around; and we weren’t disappointed. Absolutely fantastic seafood platter to share as a starter, and the whole crab mains were impeccable, really fresh, tasty, and worth every penny - will be heading back to Norfolk purely just to eat here again. Facilities were clean and Covid secure, service was quick, friendly and faultless.
I was visiting beautiful Norfolk and was recommended The Dun Cow for the Steak. My partner had Steak and I had the Crab Pasta. It was amaaaazing, melted in your mouth and the flavours were WOW. Lovely people, felt very safe and the view was stunning. I would go every day if I could :) thanks so much guys, will catch you again when I am in the area next. Took my little dog in too so that was a bonus. Keep up the good work you are doing for us so we can dine out still, please keep well and safe :) x
