Lovely. The trail down to the creek can be steep and hikers are required to do some rock hopping and stream crossing as the trail works its way down . Trail is well-blazed. The outflow into the Susquehanna is blocked by the rail line, but if you make your way up the paved road to the left, there's a great view of the dam and beyond.

Lovely spot to hike! Large parking area off the road. It is not a bad spot for beginners. There are some hills here and there but it's mostly a mild hike. A lot of it is in the shade of trees but a portion is not shaded so bring a hat and or sunscreen! A creek runs along a big chunk of the main trail with little spots good for dipping your feet in or letting your furry friend cool off. Minimal trash... hoping it stays that way. Be responsible folks! Will be back again.

Excellent place for a hike. I like the part of the blue trail that runs down by the water. Expect some reasonable elevation change. Enjoy the hikes at various times of the year to appreciate the changing seasons. Local favorite!!

Nice long hike on the blue trail ( 2 hours and 10 minutes) starting at the parking lot by old Holtwood Road and Crystal Drive. Beautiful forest and streams. I recommend going counter-clockwise, especially if it rained recently. I consider myself an average hiker, but some places were muddy and a little rocky and slippery. Not a deterrent, but you just have to be careful. Going in that direction, the last part of the hike is through a flat meadow area, and easy walk back to the parking lot. If the full loop Blue Trail is too much, you can take the Red Trail shortcut from either parking lot, and it cuts the hike in about half. Our dogs loved it too!
