I'm encouraged to see how many bad reviews there are here. After being an Amica customer for many years, I called a couple days before my insurance needed to be renewed, to renew it. I was promptly told that, out of nowhere, an incident from several years previous was enough to not be able to offer me insurance. This after steadily raising my rate year after year. Avoid Amica.

My opinion is they are a dishonest company. I'm a lawyer. I can't believe they said they would amend my policy and when I called 2 weeks later they changed their tune and gaves different excuses. If you think this company is above that sort of thing, they are not. I can't say I have a problem with anybody in the Holyoke office but Amica as an insurance company is bad in my opinion.

An AMICA customer stole my bank information to pay their account in full 1800. I contacted AMICA and a supervisor told me I would have my money back in 1-2 days. It’s been 2 days so I contacted AMICA again. They tell me their accounting team decided 2 days ago that there was nothing they can do. And their customer service team “forgot to call me”. Now I have been on hold for 20 minutes with AMICA still refusing to give me my money back. This company is rude, unintelligent, unhelpful, unorganized and basically thieves. They do not check if their customers bank information match with their insurance account information so they do not check for fraudulent actions and they do not hold themselves accountable when they make a mistake.

Switching car ins. Was effortlessly, but when I spoke prior to them coming out to inspect house? I mentioned that w/ last ins. Co. I claimed hail damage to out roof that had 17 yrs of life left, why? My car had 3,400 dollars hail damage, to neighbors had roof damage so I thought maybe I had some to. Ins. Co. I was attempting to leave had inspector that was rude, unprofessional, stated no hail damage, I asked for 2nd opinion. Amica home inspector that came out was specifically told to inspect roof. This inspector took pictures of roof from the ground with his phone. Amica stated we are a conservative ins. Co. Because there is conflicting reports, me thinking there might be hail damage, their inspector taking pics from the ground with phone, they are not willing to issue insurance on home. The supervisor I spoke to in an attempt to talk sense into, very rude, aggressive, raised her voice talking over me thru out phone call. Don't waste your time or believe the BS they say how great they are in commercials
