Good place to go with kids. Good collection of fossils and literature to educate ourselves. However the place is small and one can't spend more than 1.5-2 hrs but it's worth visiting with kids. Small cafe inside the museum serves good coffee and cakes. PS. Just Opposite is another museum where you can get hammer to hands-on the stones, who knows if you too find a fossil.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE, TOOK OUR ADULT CHILDREN, BUT LITTLE ONES COULD ENJOY THIS TOO. INTIMATE MUSEUM. LEARNED A LOT! WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT FOR A MORNING OR AFTERNOON.

Great place . Amaizing fossils.

Great Museum with many oil slate fossils and dioramas. A small snack bar and oodles of dino paraphernalia round off the experience. Close to the A8 near the Aichelberg. Dr.Hauff is related to the story-teller Hauff.

If you're interested in fossils, this is an awesome location. Definitely worth visiting. Not a huge museum but full of many different finds in amazing condition.

This is a lovely fossil museum within a short drive from Stuttgart. It is on the smaller side but beautifully laid out. If you combine it with a trip to the dig pit, it makes for a great afternoon.

Astonishing fossils -- the pregnant ichthyosaur! The huge crinoid colony! Mind blowing -- don't miss it if you're in the area!
