I had an amazing experience as an employee of Home Care Assistance. I started off as a caregiver, right after my undergraduate studies then later part of the office staff. I consider myself privileged to have had the opportunity to provide balanced care to the clients; working with the most supportive team there ever was! I vouched to provide the same training and support I received, to my caregivers as I became an Employee Care Manager. I am proud to say we have an amazing team of dedicated and compassionate caregivers who strongly believe in changing the way the world ages. To be quite honest, I am not sure where to start. The beginning seems like way too much detail, but the end surely doesn’t give this agency the amount of excellence they deserve. So let me start somewhere in the middle. In the blink of an eye, my family and I needed to find 24 hour care for my grandmother. Having never been faced with this, I truly did not know where to start. The rehab recommended some places that I did interview but they just didn’t seem “quite right”. Literally by accident I came across Home Care Assistance and simply chose this location in Chalfont because it was close to home. I believe in God, but if I didn’t, I surely would have after this day. I prayed for the right care for my Gram and the Lord first sent me Shital, then Veronica and finally all the wonderful ladies that provided around the clock care for my Gram. Shital and Veronica showed the level of attention and detail I wanted but to be quite honest didn’t think I would find anywhere. They answered every question, sometimes twice. They remembered the simple things as well as the complex. So when the decision was made that we wanted to use their location, I had no doubt the home care Associates were going to be just as wonderful and I couldn’t have been more right. With the request of 24 hour care, we needed to have more than one person but everyone worked like a unified team. We really could not tell when one person left or another came on. What we did notice was that my Gram loved everyone and so did we. It’s such a catch 22, I hope no one ever has to experience needing care for their loved one or themselves, but should the need ever arise, this is by far, hands down, the place to use. At the end of June my 87-year-old mom broke her hip. At the time she was living independently at Brightview Senior Living. After having surgery to repair her hip she went into a month of rehab at which time we needed to make arrangement for her to return to her apartment. During that month I was in touch with Shital who assured me Home Care Assistant would be able to help me with her return. During that month Shital called me each week to keep up with her progress. When on Monday they told me she would be released on Thursday I called Shital who is able to put 24 hour aides in place for her return. Initially the staff needed to help her with showering, getting dressed, getting her meals and getting out of bed. As she continued with therapy they assisted her with her daily exercises and allowed her to do things for herself as she got stronger. After a month she was able to move to hourly care which Shital again arranged for me. I would like to thank everyone for their services. They got my mom through a really tough time. I appreciate their support, professionalism and attentiveness to every detail. Thank you
