Didn't go inside but from the outside and across the street...it looked pretty swell!

Interesting place. Many different patterns, some of them quite old. Variety of rugs to purchase. Really friendly staff. I will be returning when I can allow more time to browse.

Fantastic! Has a wide range of styles and many traditional rugs done with outstanding skill dating from as far back as the 1800s

Great collection of traditional hooked rugs. Entry fee too high. No pictures allowed for your own personal reference

I knew nothing of this place when my family and I happened by. WOW. Just wow. If you have an interest in Maritime / New England history, enjoy beautiful art, and love to learn, then you must stop here. This is a gem that must be seen to be appreciated. The 7 museum price is totally worth the visit. I want to become a “hooker” now!

Very interesting historical items. I have never hooked a rug before, but found many tools and techniques were similar to needlepoint. I would encourage anyone interested in ANY kind of needlework or craftwork to take the opportunity to tour this museum and gift shop. And yes, I bought a small kit to try my hand at rughooking!
