Bought two pairs of glasses after recent eye test, that the salesperson said were the most suitable for me. Each were 150 a piece. Days after collection a pair flew off my face while crossing the road, got run over by a lorry. Obviously, I'm not entitled to a replacement, but needless to say these expensive glasses didn't survive and being out 150 for the pair, I could not afford another 150-odd quid to replace them. Decided to take a punt on selectspecs. Got a pair just as good for me for a mere 12. Needless to say I will never ever be buying glasses from boots again! Thanks for the memories...

I have had serious eye problems that could have resulted in being blind in both eyes. I was treated by the supposed expertise in St Thomas's Hospital in London-what a SHAMBLES. Happily I came upon Ms Patel and I have followed her since she sadly moved from my local town to Horley. I would travel anywhere to see her-literally ANYWHERE! She is exceptionally kind and reassuring, but most important highly competent, she always identifies and explains the issues etc. and she referred me via my GP for further important hospital treatment. My experience with St Thomas's was very worrying and quite scary, cancelling operations so many times with no notice, I had to travel into London on the day before the ops and stay in a hotel as the trains don't run early enough to get there, only to find 'oh it's cancelled, didn't we phone you' err NO you didn't. I truly dread the day that Ms Patel retires as I have such confidence in her.
All the staff in my Lovely Horley Branch are professional helpful and nothing is ever too much for them. I walked in today with a loose arm of my glasses and in minutes they were fixed polished and back on my face... .Perfect x
They were helpful until I retuned a pair of driving glasses due to the lenses going blurred. I was asked if I leave them in the car to which I replied yes, that's where people leave their driving glasses. I was then informed it was probably too hot and the coating had expanded at a different rate to the glass lens. I was not told this when I bought them or were any signs in the shop referring to this, nor did any written information come with the glasses. The glasses were then sent back to the manufacturer to be analysed, but no, the fault was mine, they were exposed to excess heat (they were kept in their case in the centre console) and nothing could be done. I feel I have been thoroughly fobbed off and have now gone to Specsavers around the corner. When I asked to discuss the temperature's, they knew nothing or had no in formation on the subject, they just said it must have been too hot in the car. End off.
