There appears to be a control issue with RR and I assume this in part stems from witnessing the results of the worst of humanity. But, a reality check is needed. If there are 100s of applications being received, how are dogs not getting rehomed for months or years on end? In 100s of applications per dog, is there really not one single person who looks like they could match either the dog they've applied for, or another dog at the rescue? This doesn't seem like a hoarding issue, but rather an intense need for control, and risk aversion to the extent that the biggest risk lies within the organisation itself. Despite this crazy level of scrutiny, a lot of dogs seem to get returned which in itself raises many questions. Another reviewer mentioned that during conversation, they were told by the charity's volunteer that their previous dog who had passed away was \irrelevant\ - these are not the comments of a dog lover, let alone a charity volunteer. It is not acceptable to be so rude and dismissive. Maybe a recruitment drive for additional volunteers to help with administration is needed as the charity themselves, in response to other reviews, vindicate themselves by explaining they are rude because they are busy. People are trying to help by trying to adopt dogs, it is unclear why they are being dealt with by RR as an inconvenience. This review will probably fall on deaf ears but there is a need to really look within themselves and work out what is best for the dogs in their care - not what is perfect (in their own subjective and warped view of what perfect is) and satisfying their own agenda or power trip. Saving dogs from death row is valiant but a good act does not wash out the bad.

They do a fantastic job of looking after rescue dogs , that need a comfy sofa to call their own , they have some wonderful volunteers that spoil all the dogs and take them on some lovely walks , I would highly recommend them if you're looking for a dog to rescue!

Fantastic caring rescue. They do a great job rescuing, caring, rehabilitating so many dogs and are very supportive during and after the homing process even under lockdown conditions. I adopted my lovely little terrier from them and I highly recommend Lynn and her team if you are looking to adopt or support a rescue in any way.
