Having been a client of Sheppersons in Horley for over 20 years, i recently asked them for some advice and an appointment to discuss a new matter. Despite following up, still have not received a response to my enquiry. Will be taking my business elsewhere. Disappointing because they were previously responsive and professional.

Wouldn't even give 1 star! This solicitors should be avoided at all cost, when purchasing our first home this year I stupidly chose Sheppersons to do the job as I live in the area. Before giving any of my personal details I asked if they were on the panel with our lenders in which they informed me they were, later down the line I rang and asked for a panel number request by our mortgage adviser, and they even supplied me with one. Unfortunately this number they gave me was a load of absolute rubbish, turned out they weren't even on the panel so they just gave me a random number. After finding out from my mortgage adviser and our lenders themselves they weren't on the panel I then phoned Jill who was the person charge of our purchase at the time , with no remorse she then informed me that the process for applying to be on the panel was very simple and that they would contact our lenders and ensure to be put onto their panel and continue with our purchase. With no communication what so ever from Sheppersons, myself and my partner decided to go in personally. Long story short, my partner finally meet with Mr. Shepperson himself who was completely unsympathetic to the whole situation who then informed us that they would not be accepted on the panel and no other solicitor would do either. So we had wasted nearly 2 months in total and over 200 on searches in which would not be transfers to any other solicitors and a lot of time and effort and nearly losing the property in which we were purchasing. Needless to say Mr. Shepperson clearly doesn't have a clue as we have now successfully brought the house now thanks to ASB in Crawley, in which he and his team so stupidly told us wouldn't be possible and couldn't actually manage himself. I would not recommend this solicitors to anyone, they really are the worst type of human beings on this planet!
