went into this fish/chip shop on Tuesday 22/12/2220 as our usual one was closed we ordered fish with a pattie twice one small bottle orange and one breadcake and came to just short of 14.00 for the size of the fish we thought it was disgusting and not worth what we paid don't get me wrong the taste was there but the value certainly was not after the batter was taken off the fish the fish content was equal to 3 small fish fingers. Sorry to say but never again.

I've been coming here for several years when in town. It used to have a good lunch time special, but since\lock down\ it's not been available.
Me and my partner like to consider ourselves to be experts on fish and chips shops between Wetherby, York and Hull. Therefore we are so happy to live in the same village as Chip and Gales because this brilliant chippy is right on our doorstep. Just finished a portion of haddock, chips and mushy peas which were amazing as alwsys and felt the need to give praise to the quality and service we get every time. Five stars.
