My partner and I decided to give the Golden Wok a try and what a fantastic decision it turned out to be. I phoned to place our order and spoke to a very helpful and polite Asian lady who was just simply delightful. The food was ready to collect in ten minutes and upon collection I was pleasantly surprised with how reasonably priced it was. When we got home and tasted the food it was absolutely gorgeous and very flavoursome and felt completely satisfied with the whole experience. As a result we are going to make it a once weekly treat and would highly recommend this place to anyone and wish the Golden Wok all the very best and keep up your very high standards.

Wow, just had a flavoursome takeaway. The vegetarian spring rolls were super tasty and I invariably find them dull elsewhere. I loved the salt and pepper ribs and my partner thought the tofu & black bean was delicious. In fact I had some too and would happily have that as a main meal despite my meat eating tendencies. We were well impressed. Keep it up.

Was really looking forward to my first Chinese curry since before lockdown. Used to love Jasmine so thought I would try Golden Wok as it was recommended. What a disappointment. Didn't taste much like a curry sauce, (funny , bitter taste) and it was swimming in oil. More expensive than Jasmine as well. I will give it another try sometime, but wont be soon.
Caravanning in Hornsea I went into town to get fish and chips just after 7pm on a Saturday. All chippies were closed or closing. Annoyingly not only was this contrary to my expectation but it was also contrary to the sign on the door of the last one! Three people including myself arrived within a few minutes all expressed irritation to each other that it was closed & the door locked 50mins early! The next option was Golden Wok which I had seen but not yet tried. I'm so glad I made the choice. The Clean and smart interior looked as if it had been adapted thoughtfully to reduce contact between customers. A very pleasant asian lady was serving & at my request she made recommendations to help me complete my order. Salt and pepper chicken wings, a Special Satay noodle dish and Special fried rice. Quick polite service, very good food, hot crispy wings with fresh cut chilli and Spring onion garnish. Rich tasty satay sauce and Fried rice with a nice variety of meat & prawn. With plenty for 2 people (or just enough for 3 to share in our case) at 18 I'd say good value too. Thank you, we will return for certain!
Just had a special chow , it was gorgeous , with plenty of everything , and hot , will definitely be going again xx
