I came into the shop earlier today to see about getting three silver rings of my girlfriend repaired. Sadly these had oxidised due her using the wrong cleaner. Although these are not of the value of most of your items they are worth far more to us personally. After going to the shop I was told quite bluntly that these were all beyond repair by the shops ‘experts’ and that the damage could not be reversed by anyone since the damage was not just aesthetic but to the metal it’s self. At this point I was naturally very unhappy since these rings have enormous sentimental value to my girlfriend. I promised her I would get them fixed and after being told by you that they were beyond repair I could well have left it at that. Luckily I went and asked at T H Baker just around the corner. The gentleman there told me that it was an easy fix and that he could repair them there and then for only 10. He even gave me a free silver cleaning solution that was worth 7 and was exceptionally kind given my situation. Because of this I am naturally very confused how on earth all of the ‘experts’ in the shop, could say with such conviction that the rings were beyond repair without a doubt. All I can say is that it is very lucky I went elsewhere. And will be doing so in future...
