The food was traditional and very good. We tried different dishes and all were good. Service was nice and we had a great lunch!

The food was great!!! Finom! We made a good choice to dine here in this very unique restaurant in the beautiful side of Hortobágy️
Live music, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and clean bathroom. There's a great variety of traditional Hungarian dishes and even a few vegetarian options. I'd recommend the cold fruit soup and pancake Hortobágy style. Free parking available next to the restaurant, and there's a market on the the other side of the road as well.
Being basically one of only two proper places to have a meal at Hortobágy we supposed our decision of going there was good. However we were disappointed in almost everything. The staff, though polite made us feel like they just wanted to get through with our order as fast as they can and then finally get rid of us. They served us with no eye-contact and no intention of making us feel welcome. The food arrived at our table surprisingly fast only for us to discover that it doesn't really have any taste. The salad looked and tasted like it just came straight from a plastic bag and the roasted chicken was not roasted enough. The beef was well-made however the potato with truffle had rarely anything on it apart from some mild powdered truffle. The red sauce probably was supposed to be something made of berries but had no taste at all. The atmosphere of the place was nice and traditional but we could have enjoyed some straditional folk music too. Altogether it hardly was worth the money we paid!
You don't come to Puzsta for the culinary offering but for something else. There are just two restaurants here: a pizzeria and Csarda which tries to maintain the local culture and tradition spanning several hundred years of Hungarian Grey Cattle breeding and herdsmanship. Sadly they have included everything else on their menu as well. It is hard to maintain a vast menu with only a handful of staff for only a few customers per evening. And that shows: some of the food was served cold, tasteless and gooey. If you ask me they should pick just few traditional dishes and perfect them. I'm sure this review would have turned out very very different.
Great place, Hungarian cuisine, wine and music.
It's an iconic place in the area, the food was okay, nothing memorable, apart from hortobágyi palacsinta which they serve as a starter, that was a good one!
Nice food, good prices, recommended!
