Minchukallu Betta

An awesome hill near Koratagere. Hiking the hill involves 5 km trek one way from a nearby Government School. The School staff can show the way to the hill, like they kindly did for me. The trail is not clear at many places but can be traced. Interesting shaped boulders all along the way and also on top of the hill makes the hike involving and provide magnificent backdrop for photography. Hosakote Oorina Thimmappana Betta, Karadi Betta are nearby hills. At the highest point, the hill measured 1130 mtrs on the altimeter. There are some ruins of fortification atop that are used for dumping liquor bottles....Hiked solo on a warm afternoon in Jan 2021 and fortunately didn't encounter any wildlife though it felt so eerie! Very beautiful views from the top of the hill; not to be missed. There's a small Hanuman temple atop, which locals worship every Saturday. On weekdays probably there won't be anyone going up the hill.
