Awesome authentic Chinese food. Love this place. We will be back soon.

Authentic, spicy, and flavorful. While the spicy level is very high, it doesn't take away from the great flavor of the food. Both the food and service were good. I definitely will go back to try other things on the menu. Recommend the Dry Pot dishes (the mushroom one is great and non-spicy) and other Human Specialties.
Some of the best most genuine Hunan dishes around. Food is great, service was excellent! Waitress made sure I knew what I was ordering.
Dishes can be spicy, but it's that good kind of spice that you'll get cravings for in the middle of the week. My favorites here are the tofu and cumin lamb dishes. The menu has a picture for every dish, so there's no guesswork when you order.
visited near twelve, it was not full. service is consistently above par. it has a nice interior.
The food is yummy here and it becomes my favorite Chinese restaurant!! I like their tofu and chicken. The tofu in Shredded Meat With Tofu is cooked in a way that makes the crispy taste first then it softs inside.
I had the Hunan Beef Rice Noodle for 9.99. It was good and spicy but the noodles were very oily. I’m suffering from sodium overload right now. Not a lot of beef, peanuts, or veggies. The only veggies were some chopped up green onions. Looks like a lot from the picture, but once you mix it up, it’s not as much as you think. It’s mostly noodles - they’re hiding under the peanuts and beef in the picture of my entree. Customer service was very good and the restaurant was clean. Located in the shopping strip at 9889 Bellaire Blvd. suite D-254. It’s hard to find. Google Maps takes you to the parking lot of this large strip center, but doesn’t take you directly to the establishment. I ended up parking and wandering around and found it - but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. You can blame Google Maps for that. :) Don’t get it confused with “Spicy Hunan Chinese Restaurant” which is literally straight across the parking lot in a different building.
Not for the faint hearted. Certainly from what I experienced, the food was certainly very alternate and somewhat tasty. And that there, may draw some issues. It is fairly different (some dishes) and you might be best placed, either being familiar with the food or bringing someone along thats familiar. My dish (water boiled beef with chilli pepper, however it had way too many pepper corns, and was ultimately too salty and the dish had a heap of oil in it. The portion sizes are very good, and the value appears fairly okay given the relative sizing. There is a slight language barrier, although the heading for each dish is in English, the discription isn’t. Despite good images available for each dish, a little local knowledge would be good. I’d most likely grade higher after later visits. Will to try again.
