My daughters have danced with Deborah Mercer for most of their lives and they have both developed a love of the art. Their dedication to ballet and their interest in the craft comes from the nurturing care that Deborah gives all her pupils. I particularly love the enthusiasm she fosters in them for the stories and music of the ballets. They love them now!

My daughter has been taught ballet by Deborah Mercer since she was 4 years old. The enthusiasm, strong attention to technique, nurturing care and knowledge of the art form was key in developing my daughter’s love and passion for dance. Deborah was instrumental in coaching my daughter to a successful audition to become a Royal Ballet Junior Associate and subsequently to gain a scholarship for full time vocational training.

I have been having private pointe coaching with Deborah for around 2 years now, and look forward to my lessons every week. As an adult learner who has been taking ballet for around 7 years, I never knew whether starting pointe work would be possible for me. However, I’m so happy with the progress I’ve made thanks to Deborah’s careful attention and encouragement.
