TERRIBLE! I bought a kingsize Hip Hop wooden bed frame from Bensons with a supposed 5 year guarantee. After 18 months the slat supporting the headboard snapped, so I contacted Bensons to get it replaced, under the 5 year warranty. I was informed that I would need to pay for an independent inspection {54}, to verify that it was a manufacturing fault, before Bensons would offer a replacement. The inspection report agreed that it was poor manufacturing quality, so I sent the report off to Bensons. That was 3 months ago and I am still waiting for a response. Despite many emails and phone calls there has been no offer of assistance and only a generic automated reply from the email. The bed frame was an online purchase so I was told that the store in Hove would be unable to help. As a last resort I went anyway and the representative in the shop telephoned customer services on my behalf. They informed him that the 5 year guarantee was invalid as they had changed their policy. I am still waiting for a refund for the pointless inspection that I paid for. The beds from this company may be competitively priced, but they are very poorly made and the customer care along with their warranty, is non existent. I highly recommend shopping elsewhere.

Having been driving around today to 5 different bed shops in portslade and hove for an adjustable mobility bed I came across Bensons for beds in hove. I met a lovely young man called Kevin. Actually all the staff were lovely. Polite. Helpful and caring. I purchased my adjustable mobility bed and everything was explained to me. Nothing was too much trouble and weren’t pushy.
Great store, found unique function bedframes that other stores didn't have and their beds were more comfortable than competing stores and good deals on buying 2 items together. Friendly and helpful staff
You have lost a sale today, walked the whole floor, was watched by two members of staff not trying to sell, even choose the bed I want, but made a plan to find it cheaper online. I’m assuming you do not get paid commission or this store is due to close as clearly no one cares. I wouldn’t want to assume that the lack of service is that we are black.
Popped in for a look. Really condescending and patronising comments from the employee as we we're leaving. Commented on our facemasks and my disabled girlfriends walking aid. Not cool
I would not ever in my life buy a bed from them again as I thought I was buying a nice bed that would last 8 years or over and they sold me a pile of rubbish. When you lie on it you sink down at least 100mm and feel like the shape of a banana whilst sleeping. I tried to complain but they just fob you off with a So called independent company (who they must get a back hander from) as you get a biast report and you just feel robbed at the end of it!
Popped in as a first time customer looking for a new bed, fantastic customer service from a chap called Tom, very informative, made plenty of good recommendations but didn't push us to make any rushed decisions, explained everything from the different styles of beds and mattress' all the way through to the payment process and made the entire purchase very comfortable.
First and not inexpensive mattress tore. Staff baffled as to why we would claim on the 5 warranty as we had used it for 3 years *eye rolls* After battling with customer service, a "like for like" mattress was provided. Dipped in several places within 3 months. Poor quality. Poor customer service after multiple calls. Left with a substandard mattress. Buyers stay well away.
