Despite only using electricty being used, edf told me i had to have the energy distributor remove the gas pipe to stop paying the gas standing charge and then pay them 80 to come get the meter. Removal of the gas pipe would cost 3k! Fortunately the gas distributor told me this was complete misinformation, the gas could be capped and the meter removed by a gas safe engineer. EDF will not however provide a return address for the meter and are insisting they come take the meter for 80. I guess I'll go to the ombudsman as there is no need

Over changing, help text services is bad and anything but help, they never reply. When they did they wouldn't help with the questions I had. Its stupid.
I have no electricity but I put 20 on my account , chat to the lady and after 6 pm she went home , no one answered the phone , so childish company ,NOT RECOMMENDED AND TO EXPENSIVE.
Availing service. Every phone interaction is rude, unfriendly and uninforming. They could not even quote me a tariff as apparently the system was done but tbh felt like laziness she simply told me to go online and look it up myself. Will definitely be switching to suppliers who can actually provide information and customer service.
