I recently took a faulty product back, I have to say, the staff were very helpful, informative and exchanged it without fuss. I was very happy with the service at Hove, and not just because the item was replaced but rather the way it was handled.

Unbelievable service from the bike department when looking for an option of bikes. I would seriously recommend the service here, I came in recently (a Saturday I believe) and the service from Alfie and Russ was just top notch. Talking me through all options of sizes and styles of bikes that would benefit me the most for the type of riding I was going to be doing. If you’re looking for a new bike, this place is great and make sure you see Alfie and Russ, those guys really seem to know what they’re doing, and can give you information on practically anything to do with the bike department. However, unfortunately on the time of collection of my new bike. I was met with someone who was moody, answering in one word answers and being very blunt. He didn’t seem to want to help me and unfortunately just seemed rude and very unprofessional. Not welcoming at all. I believe his name is Scott. He didn’t seem like he wanted to be there and was just being plain rude to not only me as a customer but also the other staff members. Other than that, 5 stars to the bike department!

Bike purchase was fine. But I would not recommend paying for the c.6 weekly Bike maintenance service. I have had to phone up 5 times to attempt to 'book' a service in and was refused my money back after repeated failed attempts. They are so back logged an unwilling to commit to a date. It seems they want you to phone back every morning to say the same thing, when they eventually answer the phone. Good luck!

Despite advertising a dash cam fitting service they will only do it if you buy it from Halfords. Quiet sunday morning with no customers and they were too busy.

This branch is close to my home so I've been here for a few bike and car parts over the years. Generally the staff are helpful and friendly in my experience. I recently had a headlight bulb changed for me while I waited. It was done quickly and the fitter was helpful showing me a couple of things I didn't actually know about my own car. A bit embarrassing for me, but the guy was perfectly friendly and polite. I haven't checked the prices to see how they compare so can't comment on that.

The reason why I'm taking the time to write this review is because I recently visited Halfords to inquire about buying a new electric bike,I found all of the staff extremely helpful & they went out of their way to answer the many questions I wanted to know,on of the guys who worked there was in particular very helpful his name was Aaron & might I also say so where all his colleagues I might add last year I bought an ebike from Decathlon & the service there was virtually non existent, you'd think when you buy a bike for a thousand pounds you'd be at least be able to get hold of a mechanic to ask questions with regards to your purchase,in my experience every time I called I couldn't spk to a mechanic, after countless calls I went to my local store in Brighton still no mechanic,I'm not saying they where bad however they seem to be overwhelmed,& spread very thin also I found a few of the staff dismissive of my gripe,as far as calling them it'd be easier to get a call through to God!!!When I did spk to the mechanics they answered my questions with regards to the bike I have now which I've hardly risen & sold with a known fault. I say this in all honesty if you want a bike & your questions answered go to any of the Halfords stores in Brighton & Hove I hope this review is helpful to somebody

I can only endorse the other poor reviews. I went in to get a headlight bulb fitted and was told that there were no staff members able to do it today. Fair enough. I asked if I there would be anyone in if I came back tomorrow. Told, "maybe". I asked if they could check so that I could avoid another wasted journey which they did, reluctantly. Told, "no, no one available tomorrow, either". Basically they weren't interested in helping me and didn't care. Apalling customer service.

Alfie really helped me get the kit I needed to fix my bike. He gave me really good honest advice on oil and on which Chain I needed to buy. And some tips on how to fit it! Great work
