Absolute waste of time. We invited Hamptons to come and value our property as we were planning an extension and then sale (or sale now to the right buyer) and they had sold some of the neighbouring ones along our road. The manager who came out hadn't bothered even finding out what the next door neighbour had recently sold for so the initial valuation was 300k less than our sale actual price. Ironically the person who bought our property was someone they had on their books who had made an unsuccessful offer on a house that Hamptons were selling themselves on our road. Selling your house is one of the biggest transactions most people will ever do - its amazing that they did absolutely no home work !

The staff were always very helpful whilst I was looking for a property to rent. However, I had the unfortunate experience of finding a property where the landlord-Hans Heller-was always on the premises, often making unannounced visits with very little notice. I specifically highlighted the fact that a previous landlord had taken advantage in this way before,and I was assured by the staff at Hamptons that there had been no previous complaints. This experience has been unfortunate, incredibly uncomfortable, and has shown just how much clever marketing and spiel is involved when advertising a property. Also, after more than two weeks,the landlord still hasn't paid my deposit back, which is over 2000. I doubt I will see a penny of that money again,so a very expensive lesson has been learned.
