The receptionist lied to me, she said that the clinic that does flu jabs was shut, even though it was not, as my husband just got his jab done. Dr Keneth had also called me yesterday, and I asked again regarding the reasoning behind the closure of the flu jab clinic. I was informed by the doctor that the last 30 people’s jab requests were cancelled, and I had booked before my husband; he was able to get the jab done and I was not. Merfat Mikhaiel

During the Covid pandemic, I got an abscess on my back. I delayed contacting the practice thinking it wasn't urgent - my mistake. As soon as I contacted the practice, the care and treatment I received was excellent, from the doctor I saw initially to the nurses and reception staff. The doctor made it easy for me to send a photo of the abscess to him as a first step, he then phoned me and arranged for me to go to the practice. At all times, I felt \safe\ and being cared for professionally. Thank you.
Just felt I should write a review mainly as you just don't when everything is good, do you? I was really reluctant to join this surgery and tried to stay at my last one that I had been with for fifteen years, for two reasons, because I was happy with my surgery and because of the bad reviews on here. Unfortunately (at the time), I had to move surgeries as I was no longer in their area. That was seven months ago. I have visited both for myself and my children and had several telephone conversations during the Covid period for non Covid reasons and I have to say that I have nothing but good to say about them all. The reception staff, whether on the phone or face to face, the nurses and doctors have all been warm, friendly and helpful. It has always been very easy and quick to get an appointment whether in person or on the phone. Today I had a request (as I work in Reception class in school) for a letter to be emailed to our school to say that I shall be fit to work (I have mild asthma). My medical records have not all arrived from my previous surgery, so we discussed everything at length. So helpful. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Thank you to all at Hove Medical Centre.
In general the admin staff are great, always get through and get an appointment. The reason for my rating is due to the Dr being appallingly bad, it is like he doesn't know anything and uses guess work on every single matter alongside miss diagnosing both myself and my wife. Alongside this when we are put on the waiting list for hospital we always have to wait months. The other Dr's we have seen at the surgery have been amazing. It's just a pity that the GP we are assigned is genuinely the worst GP I have ever had the misfortune to encounter
Poor service and nothing but difficulties with this surgery. Incredibly long waiting times on the phone, when you eventually get through staff are unhelpful, rude, very quick to dismiss you and huff and puff down the phone at you like you are a burden. No pre-bookable appointments are available, meaning you have to call up on the day and hope that an appointment is available for you. If you work, this is very difficult and I don't understand how this can work for the majority of people. Doctors rush you out of the room and are quick to jump to a conclusion before you have even finished telling them what is wrong.
