I bought a Groupon for a pedicure for my mum and the only availability they had was Tuesday daytime. She called up as soon as she got the voucher and after multiple attempts of trying to get through by phone call, they just said they’d only be able to fit her in on a Tuesday daytime. She works all day on Tuesdays, but does have Thursday to Sunday’s off. She asked whether any of those days were free at any time and they said no. Today (Thursday afternoon), we decided to go into the salon to see if she could book. One staff member was sat down in the empty salon of Natural Beauty, Church Road, Hove. When my mum tried the door, she found the door was locked and the lady l seemed reluctant to open it. When the lady finally opened the door, she stood at the door, blocking the entrance and didn’t invite my mum in. My mum explained that she’d like to book this pedicure in which the woman replied it was only Tuesday daytime she could book for this deal. The salon was empty so my mum asked whether she could have it now, in which the woman replied no? By this point, my mum said she wasn’t happy and that she was going to contact Groupon, to which the woman replied ‘okay’. The woman who worked there basically did not care at all. I’m not sure why she was sat in the salon, with the door locked and no customers and yet the opening times stated they were currently open. It’s the worst way to run a business and an absolute embarrassment that Groupon would be associated with such a joke of business. Just to also add no where on the Groupon offer did it state that there was only availability for booking this on a Tuesday otherwise I would have not booked it for my mum as I know she works. I would avoid at all costs. They don’t care and to only think that they’re like this before your treatment, goodness knows what they’d be like during your treatment.

Came here on a Groupon. Not worth the money I paid. Salon messy and not very clean. Would not recommend. She didn't do the pedicure as I asked either so a fail all round. Seeking a refund from Groupon.

Really liked the Tanino hair therapy. I got the straightening hair treatment that contained no formol! I love that because when I used to get a keratin treatment there was formol in the products, it damaged my hair and the fumes would burn my eyes whilst getting it done. The products luzinete has is does quite the opposite, highly recommend.

Very disappointing experience which ruined my morning. I advanced paid 20.95 each for 2 pedicures (42) through Groupon, but when I arrived found my appointment slots had been cancelled out. She said she did not make any money on the Groupon appointments and had given our slots to regular customers who pay her more. She refused to find another appointment slot for me and said it was Groupon's fault and basically pushed us out the door. The rudest salon experience I have ever had by a long shot. It seems she uses Groupon to fill in empty slots and feels justified to cancel and not make restitution because she says 'most the profit goes to Groupon, and I give appointments to my regulars first" -- clearly she resented how little she gets paid. As the owner of the business, it did not make sense to me why she sabotaged our goodwill by refusing to honour our pre-paid appointments, blaming Groupon. Exercise caution using this salon, because if she cancels on you, you as customer have to do all the administration (taking nearly two hours with Groupon so far and as yet unresolved), then having to contact credit card company to get the charges removed. An utter disaster for us -- ruined our morning. I'm remain out 41.90 because of her dispute with Groupon -- we did nothing wrong but it is us that has to fight to get our money back. [update: in the end, if you PHONE Groupon, then you get good service - do not use email. The customer service rep promptly refunded me my money.]
