Good selection of cakes and pastries, with some breakfast options. Prices are fairly high but the food is nice. The café has a nice entrance and is well decorated but seemed a little worse for wear, and while we were sat, water started leaking from the ceiling. Staff were accommodating and order arrived in good time.

Took my mom there for breakfast it was fairly decent. I ordered English breakfast and it was done well. My mom's croissant and my girlfriend's avocado on toast were both enjoyable.

Loved our recent afternoon tea here. We used a voucher and the staff were knowledgeable, helpful and the food was delicious.

Having had a delicious afternoon tea in the Basingstoke branch i visited the Hove one for coffee and cake. Sat there for more than 10 minutes and was not acknowledged or attended to. Sorry, but i will use another coffee shop. There are plenty of them!!! No wonder the company is struggling.

Amazing place. Had the Caesar Salad for mains and the double chocolate gateaux for dessert. They were amazing. Friendly staff.

Only been in once, well my name reason for 3 stars - it’s expensive. The loose leaf tea was the most expensive I’ve bought in tea rooms. I think 3 is quite expensive, in Kemp Town a cafe I like it was very reasonably at 2.20! The cake I had was Black Forest Gateau and it was DELICIOUS. Again not cheap to eat in at 4.10, for a smallish cake. But it was really nice, on my visit staff were friendly and might visit again. I’d give it more stars but I find it an expensive cafe.

So I went Patisserie Valerie for breakfast on Saturday and it was a really disappointing especially as so many of my friends rate this place. It could of just been a bad morning but the service that we paid for we left feeling annoyed. The food took a very long time to come I think we waited almost 40 minutes for the food; in a place which was very quite at the time. Once the food had arrived none of it was right and all the changes we had asked for were not on the plate, the mushrooms were extremely salty making them hard to digest. The plate that my breakfast was served on was dirty on the side and underneath. The customer service form the waiter was rubbish and really seemed that he did not want to be at work, he looked down at us more than anything else. We had to ask for our bill 3 times before someone acknowledging that we wanted to actually pay for the food and then took them another 10 minutes to get our bill and then we waited another 10 minutes before they brought the card machine over for us to pay. At this time they had 5 tables (with four people on two of the tables and the others we either drinking coffee or had food on their tables) also there was 2 walk ins getting some cake. For a place that has a lot of staff and a great reputation very poor service.
