Having received almost no help at all from the nightmarish administrative bureaucracy of Royal Mail's 'help' phone lines and emails, I took a chance on begging our local postie to help our independent business get the supplies we need to deliver our parcels. Even though they are both understaffed and extremly busy AND Royal Mail business accounts are not their responsibility, we were helped out within 2 minutes. Not all heroes wear capes, but sometimes they do wear shorts in winter ;)

Masters of delivering your package to someone else on your road but not telling you who they gave it to.

Parcel left with unnamed neighbour. The only neighbour I have any contact with, in the flat above me does not have it. I have had problems with the other neighbours and am reluctant to go knocking on random doors in the middle of a lockdown. None of them has made an attempt to give me the parcel or left a note with a phone number. Whoever delivered this might as well have thrown it in a hedge. I have managed to opt out of the leave with a neighbour 'service'. What kind of terrible idea is this anyway? Especially when no address is on the card. It implies that we all live in some 1950's village where everyone knows everyone else and trust is abounding. Would n't that be great but unfortunately is very far from many people's reality. What's worse is that it is IMPOSSIBLE to speak with anyone from Royal Mail. All helplines are useless, either sending you round in circles or simply no answer (not even a discernible ring tone. TERRIBLE! Especially at the moment, people need to know that their postal service can be trusted. Where is the personal accountability? Although I suffer from long term health issues at least I can get out and about. Imagine the effect on someone with profound mobility issues? So now, I guess the only option is to go through the tedium of submitting a claim. I am FUMING.

Really quick and efficient the day I visited, no long queue either but that depends on demand and time of day as to whether you'll get that.. Covid organised, this time of collection went well
