Our experience of Staples today was appalling when we spent forty five minutes trying to buy a printer. We wanted one similar to ours compatible with the the ink cartridges that we already had. We found one very much reduced but that was not relevant as it was just what we needed. The shop assistant spent ages looking for one in stock and eventually returned to tell us that the display model was the only one. We were happy to have that one as it suited our needs. She then spent ages looking for the box etc. & eventually returned to say that she couldn't find the box. We therefore purchased the printer with the ink and cable in an envelope. On returning home we tried to set it up. Three of the cartridges had no protective strip on them and the paper guard was missing. I have not been able to set it up despite several attempts. The display on the printer tells me that there is protective material inside, which there is not. The ink cartridges don't work So we will have to return it spending more time on a futile exercise. I intend to speak to the manager about this. We find it inexcusable that there was no apologies from the sales assistant about the delay and inefficiency of the store.

Standard staples but very time I go in there's no staff anywhere. Photo copy people are always servicing are calling for someone to come to the tills and then just doing it themselves. Copying people are great rest of the staff pretty rubbish
Always extremely friendly, helpful staff, nothing is a problem. My colleague and I have been there many times and we are always greeted with a smile. The staff are knowledgeable, understanding and have kindly given us a discount when we have bought products in bulk on a few occasions which they didn't need to do. Would recommend them for your general stationery and office goods.
The level of customer service I received in in this branch of Staples today far exceeded my expectations, the staff were both knowledgeable and courteous throughout. I am not usually one to rave about a store online but may the fact that I am therefore writing this review reflect highly upon the store and its staff. I have even gone so far as to recommend several of my colleges to shop here rather than their usual retailers e.g. PC World.
Rude staff and 0 knowledge on the product and services that they offer. Been several times in the doubt that it might was my unlucky day, not at all, a very very poor standard of customer service and sale. No wonder why the place is closing down
Sadly, and we trust not symptomatic of all other Staples outlets, the previously competent and pleasant copy shop counter staff of this branch are apparently now operating under a new Orwellian regime which is clearly designed only for their own convenience. Regrettably, the manager seems to have little ability to show any form of judgement, other than to blindly support the new 'rules are rules' regime and thereby quite unnecessarily annoy at least this previously regular customer. With regret, I have consequently now had to instruct all my associates to avoid Staples at all costs, not least one suspects to the value of that branch's 'good-will', which if duplicated elsewhere would surely have a disastrous effect on the share value of this public company. It is also relevant to report that at the time of both my visits today that this Staples branch in Hove was utterly devoid of any other customers other than myself. Ergo, here is as a branch that either has to change its ways at soonest or be closed down by this branch manager's seniors, assuming they are more sensitive to the needs of their share-holders.
Well stocked store with helpful staff. Easy parking and Wicks next door is convenient.
Good range of stock, staff totally dis-interested, guess you cant blame them as place is closing down (apparently).
