I have never had a personal trainer before and never done weights, so this has all been new to me but 8 weeks in and I have lost 1.5 stone. I am so much stronger and fitter - it’s been amazing. James has offered dietary advice and kept me motivated, I haven’t had any injuries - he always checks I’m doing exercises the right way and he always pushes me that little bit further but not too much to put me off. So happy with everything, I’m a complete fan and will be carrying on!

After a surfing holiday in the summer I realised that I didn't have the upper body strength I once had after a few years out of the water. I got in touch with James and we've been working on specific exercises to improve my pop-up so I can better enjoy my surfing trip next summer. The progress so far has been excellent, my overall strength and fitness have really improved and I have really enjoyed working with James.
I've been doing James' weekly Zoom class since May. The exercises are varied and are suitable for a wide range of age groups. James is always attentive to people's particular needs, and he will always give alternatives if you find that you are struggling with a particular move. I would certainly recommend James’ Zoom class. In the past the thought of going to a gym with other people has always put me off taking up exercise, but being able to attend James' sessions in the privacy of my own home has really worked for me, and I feel all the fitter and the stronger for it.
James was recommended to me by my neighbour who had suddenly seemed to loose about 3 stone (and his large stomach) in a matter of months. I’ve had upper back and shoulder problems for years and over the last 3 months James has worked with me to build up my strength and fitness without causing injury to my weak areas. He works with you to help you achieve your goals without being the archetypal “shouty”‘personal trainer and I’d 100% recommend him.
We’ve been doing James’ classes every week for several months by Zoom. There is always a good variety and it’s never the same two weeks running. His gentle humour and kind nature shines through along with his positive encouragement to everyone. The classes are small so he can see everyone and he will offer alternatives if an exercise is not suitable. I’m not very fit but would recommend him to anyone thinking of trying some Zoom classes.
I highly recommend James. I have worked with various exercise professionals over the years and he is right up there, taking time to understand your needs and build programmes that suit. The actual workouts are excellent, too!
I started training with James when I was in a very low period in my life. He has helped me turn things around in a big way. After 10 weeks of training twice a week, I'm fitter and leaner than I've ever been. His nutritional advice has also helped me get in shape. I look better than I have in about 20 years. James has worked a miracle on me. Highly recommended!
Have been using James since March. He is the perfect trainer. I feel healthier and fitter. He has a good approach to building a personal program and is professional with a wide array of exercises and equipment. I have used 3 trainers in the past and happy to recommend James as one of the best.
