I cannot rate Chartwell Victoria highly enough. The care and affection they showed my Aunt Ruby was fantastic - even if she may not have been the easiest person in the world to get along with - they made her life comfortable and gave her back her self-esteem. Thanks to you all Mary

This is the second home my mother has lived in and every time I visit I can't believe how lucky I am to have found such a lovely place for her. ALL the staff are wonderful from groundsmen, to cooks, to carers all working together to make this a happy, safe and caring place for the residents. Residents often tell me how much they like it their and how kind and friendly the staff are, which as old people are often very quick to criticise always seems like very special endorsement.

Wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. My Grandad was in the martlets hospice and traffered to chartwell this was the worst 6 days of his life. He was handle in such manner by the stuff that the staff ended up hurting his chest. They were extremely rude to myself,family members and other patients. The manager in particular was also very rude. He smelt everyday and wasnt cared for hygiene was dreadful. He had three falls for the fact the staff was alert and he also had to change his own catheter. He went completely down hill and was extremely low within his self as soon as we collected him to move him into another home the staff gave filfthy looks. He’s very happy in his new nursing home and is becoming his self again.
