The hotel was clean. However, if you care about customer service then this isn't the hotel for you. A lot of them don't know what they are doing, and not a lot of them can speak English. I also advice to not order room service, food is pricey, oily, and generally does not taste good. I also do not recommend the spa area - massage was pricey and was not good. If you need a hotel just to sleep and not expect anything else - then this is a good hotel for you.

The hotel is a bit dated but the rooms are large and it is very conveniently located to The Bund, The peoples park, Shanghai museum and Nanjing Rd. The restaurant food was adequate. There are msny places to eat within walking distance.

The location is very good, within walking distance to both the Bund and Nanjing road, it is a typical chinese style hotel, but they have very large rooms. they are outdated but at least they are clean. But the best part is when you ask for a high room with bund view, they you have a perfect spot to view the bund and the light show at night. try to get the room as high as possible! that is worth it
Great service at such a reasonable price AUD87 per night got us an executive suite with great views of the Bund. The onsite restaurant was very good also and the breakfast was excellent. I will definitely be staying here again!
Booked this hotel because of price, and proximity to the Bund and Nanjing Rd - couldn't have been better - the rooms were very large - two rooms in fact, ours had a view of Pudong. Staff were very attentive, not like I had read in some reviews - staff English was very good, but as I had a reasonable grasp of Mandarin helped a bit. Wopuld recommend this
