A modern stone circle with stones from the near-by quarry workings. Nice quiet place to sit and rest when out on a walk. Good for kids to play around.

Peaceful place full of energy to meditate and bring yourself to the present
Really enjoyable walk, peaceful when you pass the quarry. Something different around the area. The area is taken care of (grass cut, no litter) no litter bin around so make sure you take your rubbish with you.
Technically it is a circle and it is made of stones, but to call it a stone circle is somewhat misleading. Not exactly egregious and a nice spot but don't come to Huddersfield just for a visit here.
A managed green with dual circle of stones, one inside the other. Not far from a local bus route-328 Balmoral Avenue, getting off at Foster Avenue and walking about 100yds to footpath at Woodside Road. There are plenty of other walks and fabulous countryside views around the area too. This circle though is free to see and can be a great place for kids to play and have picnics. Ideal area for dog walkers and cyclists too. However sadly most of the footpaths are not pram or disabled friendly but it is possible to get access the area via Thewlis Lane and you could park up along the lane free of charge. Nearest toilets are at The sands about ½mile away further up Blackmoorfoot Road or the same ½mile in the opposite direction, in Beaumont Park near the visitor centre.
