Went to this chippy on the off chance. The servers were very polite and conversational. The food was good too with a reasonable portion. I would eat here again.

We visited the fish shop whilst out shopping on Friday 9th October. The service was good and the food was reasonably priced. We ordered fish and chips twice from the menu with tea and bread and butter. The food looked ok and the chips were better than the fish. But I didn't like the taste of the oil they use for frying. I'm not sure how often they change the oil but the food tasted as if it had been cooked in oil that hadn't been changed for a while. That said, the time before that, we ordered chips to takeaway and they were beautiful. In my opinion it's probably best to eat there after just opening. Either that or we were just unlucky when we dined in.
Quite concerned that every table was in use and just as it was before covid. None were cordened off, no social distancing and the tables were very close together. No markings for people queuing for the takeaway no staff wearing masks when table serving and no hand gel anywhere. Exactly as it was pre covid. Do they know there is a pandemic?
Nothing bad to say about this place the owner of the shop is really friendly and the prices are reasonable the food is really gold would definitely recommend a try with these new owners

Lovely fish n chips,quick and friendly service,good size fish,nice chips,had them with Yorkshire caviar (mushy peas) bits,bread and washed down with a cup of tea...good value too...mum and dad loved theirs too..
This place do the best fish and chips.
