Decent carvery, wide variety of veg and sided and my favourite dessert, Black Forest Gateau!Social distancing good as virtually had room to ourselves at end of pub. Staff good, though had to ask for dessert menu but we were busy enjoying ourselves so they probably thought we'll leave them to it! Recommended for an inexpensive meal out with solid traditional food.

i visited Toby Carvery last week and returned again this week because i felt it was good value for money, i had the turkey and gammon with all the trimmings. i have tried the beef too but think turkey was the most tastiest. you can fill your plate for under 7.00. you buy your drinks separately while you wait for your table, which only took 5 minutes. the food is very filling and would return again. the only criticism would be the toliets and decor could do with an update.
I love this venue a lot. theres a very special atmosphere. The food is good. the service is dynamic and the crew is friendly. The cost is decent. profoundly recommend.
Another great breakfast. The setup for virus is spot on. We hadn't booked but managed to get in. Very lucky. See you again soon.
There is clear evidence that through the signage and spacing of tables the restaurant has attempted to introduce measures required to reopen during the Covid 19 pandemic. However these measures appear futile when instead of being sat at your table there are long queues to the carvery with a duty manager at times requesting customers to return to their tables and try again when it is quieter. Most tables are not in sight of the carvery deck so customers went back and forth to their seats. Poor kitchen management also helped to worsen the customer experience as the 2 scruffily clad chefs in dirty uniforms had to spend time in the kitchen replenishing the carvery deck rather than serving customers. In consequence although we were seated at 7.00 p.m. it was 40 minutes later when we got our carvery meal, having spent most of that time in the carvery queue where social distancing was difficult. The saviour was that the carvery meal was excellent and good value for money.
Went tonight for a carvery meal, everything nicely spaced out and distanced appropriately, hand sanitizer readily available and we shown quickly to table. Carvery is served to you now and they even bring your plate to your table for you. Food was good as always. Our waitress Heather did a cracking job and kept us topped up with drinks etc, despite having to deal with an extremely rude man who came and put his head over her shoulder while she was serving us ( absolutely no respect for distancing at all) she stayed really calm and polite throughout. Thank you.
Was nice... but the food was a lot better 2 weeks ago... the covid rules don't really make any sense there but I suppose they don't in many places to be honest.
We had a brilliant time! Lauren was a brilliant server! The Covid-safe system in Toby Huddersfield was brilliant and we really felt safe during our meal.
