Won't ever answer the phone when I call tried three separate days

We live nearby but have never been in here before. Thought we'd pop in for something to eat. The place is nice and clean, and wasn't very busy in the afternoon. We had people sat nearby us but social distancing measures were in place. We were encouraged to try and use the mobile app to place our order, however we found many items from the menu didn't seem to appear on there, and the specials menu was missing entirely which was disappointing. The drinks were a little expensive (more than typical pub prices around here) but the food was well priced for typical pub grub. We both had starters and main, it was nice, but fairly typical of a chain pub. We did notice they have a kids menu and we might bring our kids here some time as the options looked like they'd appeal to our children.

Exceptional value for money. They do two for one on main course! You will never find better deal than this. Food is second to none and really worth visiting. Nice sitting area outside as well.

Generally I've had a good experience with this place... however... I went in the other day on my way back from B&Q. It was a lovely, warm, late-summers afternoon and I wanted to support a local and get a pint and some food with my wife. We couldn't do it. Not possible. Why you ask? Because their table service requires you to have a smart phone and neither of us have one. So, this is more of a warning to the Luddites out there than a review. They want you to scan a QR code on the way in and then another when you sit at your table to see the menu and order. Without a smart phone, your experience is hindered / not at all possible. There are plenty other pubs where this is not the case.... for now anyway.
Ain't insulting the company but drove past this not long ago and.. a pub/restaurant named after our Yorkshire Rose without the flag flying anywhere? The lack of pride in any form in this country is a mess Will try ya food at somepoint
