Picking my son up from digs as he is studying at Hull university and hoping to fish the Holderness coast before bringing all his stuff back as the term had finished. He enquired about ordering bait. We wanted fresh peeler crab and ragworm and were told specifically, that there was plenty in stock so we could pick it up on the day. To my surprise we found that this was a massive pork pie, as when we were eventually attended to amidst all the carp anglers, we were told that they did not do fresh peeler at all and the frozen peeler we did purchase, turned out to be like a load of mushy, scentless toilet paper that was not even worth the elasticated thread to hold it upon the hook. As for the black frozen lug! Well that was a mushy disappointment and only fit for sole if allowed to dry out for a week. To top it all as we left the shop believing that we had at the very least, some half decent bait for the night session we were told that unless you have fresh peeler! You are wasting your time and as the local said I wouldn't by bait here for sea fishing. Would I shop for my fishing needs in this flashy all image shop! Never again.
