Just fished it for the first time and had a great morning session. I arrived before the shop was open so just fished with corn. My first fish was 9lb 7oz the second around 4lb and the third 7lb 10oz. I was catching steadily for an hour until the bailiff came around with the pellets. Once using the pellets the catch rate was higher but the fish were smaller. I ended up with approx 52lb (guessed on the clicker), in just over 4 hours. We have a holiday Caravan close by and I can only take the bare minimum of tackle with me so I swerved the place as some crack anglers seem to fish there (I'm not a tackle tart by the way ). I needn't have worried, I'll be back.

was given an experience break by the wife for Xmas at a nearby park. We weren't keen on their lake so decided to fish at Westlands. Covid restrictions meant we couldn't look around the shop and Cafe was not open. Not their fault. Also, matches taking place on most lakes. Fished the canal lake with my son. Good day was had with F1, small carp and skimmers the order of the day. was good as we are from Northumberland with scant course fishing of any standard. I would recommend to locals.
