It's clear staff care about the animals. However, they are terrible with communication. Our puppy we intended to adopt on a Saturday had to stay a couple of days longer to get staples in his neuter incision. We were ASSURED they would call us back THAT afternoon with information on what the staff vet had to say. Heard nothing for days, until I finally emailed them the following Wednesday. Forget trying to call! Their own voicemail system says you will get a quicker response by emailing! Then, once we got him, I was told their vet staff would contact me with a time to get his staples out. I verbally asked at time of pick-up, emailed prior to pick up, and emailed twice since pick up. Have still heard nothing from them, other than they are forwarding my messages to the vet staff. I am going to my own vet tomorrow to get his staples removed; they are concerned they've been in there so long. I will be forwarding HSWM my bill. For a business that survives on donations, communication with customers should be important!

Such an amazing staff/ volunteers! They are so invested in every animal that is housed there, it's heartwarming! As we walked around looking for a family cat, you could hear each staff member excited that an animal found a forever home! We were given time and as much information about each cat we were looking at without being rushed. We found our family cat and couldn't be happier! We were given all the information needed, food for a few days and a vet with a free check-up. The cat we took home had a cold and we were given all the medication and information to make him comfortable. Best decision ever, we LOVE Fonzie! The Humane Society is an amazing resource for finding a new family member or rehoming your animal, they care so much!
