This place is absolutely adorable. My one suggestion is to see the geese in the backyard. They are too cute. Word to the wise, especially for those with children, there is an electric fence protecting the geese during the winter from coyotes and telemarketers and other nasties that go bump in the night.. The geese freely roam the yard all summer long, but in the winter, theres nothing worse than hearing a yelp as your goofy kid get hand buzzered by a fence. (I would be lying if i said this didnt happen to me.. oops)

My family just had a wonderful week in Hummingbird Suite. The suite is clean and cozy. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the utensils you need. Our younger daughter eats homemade food only and we cooked every day without any problem. They have fresh chicken eggs or duck eggs for sale and the eggs tasted great. When we had breakfast, we had window open, watched humming birds flying around and ducks and geese quacking and waddling. What an amazing experience! Feeding chickens was our kids favorite activity. Thanks Donna for sharing with our daughters the stories about chickens and geese. The bed is very comfortable and all of us had good sleep. Though the room is close to route 3, it was very quiet at night and we didn't have any noise problem for the entire week. The only noisy issue is probably the A/C. It was quite loud when it was on. As Maine's night is just 60s or 70s, we turned A/C off when we went to bed. So A/C is not really an issue for us. We definitely would book Hummingbird again if we come to visit Acadia again.

My partner and I stayed here while visiting Acadia National Park. Kevin and Donna (the hosts) we're incredibly polite and helpful. We especially appreciated the fact that they didn't judge us when we couldn't get the shower handle to budge. (I have the wrists of a programmer) Also, Donna has a haircut business displayed at the front of their lovely home. I sincerely wish I would have asked her to cut my hair. Judging from what I saw she knows what she's doing. Oh, and did I mention that they have DUCKS?! And geese. Or one or the other. I'm not quite sure. Either way, they wander the yard at feeding time, so you'll be drinking a cup of coffee and hear a muffled quack from outside. I cannot express how adorable these ducks/geese were. They also have a chicken coop, and Kevin was kind enough to show us around (and point out the electric fence surrounding the geese just as my nose almost touched it). About the suite - it was a bit on the smaller side. You could probably fit 3 people to sleep in there, maybe 4 if you get creative. As it was just my partner and I, we found the size to be fitting of the bird-themed suite. The detail work and meticulous effort Kevin and Donna put into this suite is astounding. This wasn't an airbnb; It was paradise in Maine.
