We searched and visited a number of riding stables in the area, and Monarch Farm came up by far, the most welcoming and most professional. They also have fantastic facilities and a wide variety of horses. ABRS Accredited, they have great success teaching beginners of all ages, my 60 year old mother and 5 year old daughter included with great patience but also a real 'can do' attitude that builds rider confidence and genuine rider technique. However, as a more experienced rider, having ridden horses of all shapes, sizes and capabilities across 3 continents since I was 5, I was looking for a riding school that could also teach a higher level of riding , and the incredibly experienced school instructor/owner Emily has given me just that! After taking a 4 year break to have 2 children, I have worked my way back up to where I left off within 6'months, riding horses that challenge my capabilities but also generously reward me when I get it right! This is a legitimate riding school that will teach you on and off the saddle, with kind natured horses. As a farm you can also pick up some lovely organic farm produce, as well as organic soaps and hand creams to keep the winter out of your skin!

Amazing riding school with excellent teachers and lovely horses. They do group lessons which really feels like a private lesson as every rider has a dedicated person helping them. Highly recommended!

Amazing Farm and Riding Stables. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. They encourage all riders to become confident to ride alone in a group. Their products (homemade goats soap, jams, chutneys etc are lovely) Highly recommend Monach Farm!!
