Alex and Stuart completely transformed my back garden. They did the lawn as well as the composite decking. The composite decking I chose was new to them, so they had face some challenges. They worked with me on these challenges and resolved quickly and professionally. Now my back garden looks amazing and my 7 year old boy can play all day long. Thank you Alex & Stuart. I engaged a couple of local firms back in summer 2019 with a view to renovating my garden. I only had high level requirements: what I wanted to keep from the existing garden, where I wanted patio vs lawn vs borders, problems I was looking to solve such as being overlooked or shaded, gates, bin storage, and so on. I also had some specific requirements for lighting, and ideas for a future phase to include a garden office. From the start, I was impressed with Stuart and Alex’s design ideas, their thoughts on potential pitfalls and opportunities, and their willingness to meld those with things I wanted to achieve. The end result was a comprehensively specified and costed plan, achieving my requirements while displaying X-Scapes’ creativity and design flair. The competition were good, but X-Scapes were exceptional, and won the deal on that basis. There then followed a bit of a pause while I plucked up the courage to pull the trigger on (what for me was) such a large undertaking, resulting in it being scheduled through early winter. Undeterred, Stuart, Alex (joined by subcontractors here and there) started work in December, and worked solidly - weather permitting - through to completion in February. I was impressed throughout with the quality of work, the materials selected, the work ethic of all involved, and the attention to detail around safety and cleanliness of the site. The end result has exceeded my expectations, and now that summer is nearly with us and I’ve adjusted to the new space, I’m already discussing further work with X-Scapes. Well recommended.

The Malcolm Whales Foundation

The Malcolm Whales Foundation worked with X-scapes during our Woodlands Project in 2019. As a team we transformed a very tired, grey gravelled area into a stunning garden that cancer patients now access whilst waiting for their treatment. X-scapes provided both the benches and planters. These structures look amazing and truly set the garden off. Stuart and Alex were a massive help during the project, their time and expertise were integral to the success of the project. On behalf of the charity and Hinchingbrooke Hospital - thank you very much!
