To be honest I didn't think going to a psychotherapist would be that big of a help and that I could manage on my own. Karen Hurley was not the first therapist I saw and the first one almost scared me away from this journey… thankfully I found Karen Hurley Psychotherapy. Karen is one of the most empathetic, warm, and sincere people I have been fortunate to meet while embodying professionalism and dedication to her clients. It's refreshing to talk to someone who not only listens but cares about you in a safe and welcoming environment where you can comfortably talk about anything. I went in thinking I knew everything, feeling depressed and unhappy but since I have been seeing Karen, I have been able to understand and find out who I really am which in turn inspires self- confidence, empowerment and simply lets you find happiness in everyday life. I am so proud of myself for working with Karen and giving myself the opportunity to experience such positive changes in my life! If you are struggling with something big or small, Karen and her associates are trustworthy and experienced therapists who can help. Tried taking a family member here. Waited weeks after booking the appointment, drove across town one hour plus to get there (and another hour back!) and no one was there. No heads up, didn't even bother to call to cancel, which would have been fine... Claimed it was a snow day, even though the roads were clear. Very unprofessional and still insisted she was right... Lost weeks on the person here instead of having an opportunity to see someone who actually cares. Definitely deserves zero stars, too bad the lowest option is one star.
