Outstanding customer service. With outstanding delivery too 1st class
Very disappointed with the service. Ordered a bulk bag of limestone on a Tuesday. It was due to be delivered on the Friday between 7am and 9am. The wagon comes, the delivery guy tells us the bag is ripped, he has to take it back and will be back with a new one within an hour. We were ready to gravel our garden, bearing in mind we only live up the road from travis perkins, so thought it would be all done for the weekend. Anyway, an hour passes, no gravel. We call them, and are told the gravel will not come now before 4.30pm! How did that happen? Well, the guy went on his travels, apparently to deliver elsewhere, and we found ourselves back at the bottom of the queue. I called back and said I gave them half an hour since they were due to come back within the hour, or I would cancel and get refunded. The guy at the shop said they are sorting out now, and the gravel will be with us shortly. Very confusing... Then we get another phone call 5 minutes later saying that they agree to cancel and refund us, as they obviously realised that they are unable to keep to the arrangement. How hard is it really, to deliver a bag of gravel less than 4 miles away? And how long does it take? Honestly.... not impressed...... A week later, and still no refund!! Really???
We have used this branch of T.P. for many years... great place to buy building materials and hire tools. Reasonable prices, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Recommended.
