Cool old abandonment, not yet completely ravished by time, but sadly soon will be. There appears to have been two water powered turbine generators. Shawn's review is better than mine, but i have more pics ;-)

An awesome relic of hydroelectric power along the Potomac River. A few such water electricity plants are in operation. There was once the Potomac Canal that diverted water to drive the turbines. The Canal then serviced the Armory and there was a dam-viaduct (see the nearby upstream Dam 3 Ruins Point of Interest) that channeled riverwater to the area today called Potomac Street. The hydroelectric power plant building is conserved on the National Historic Register.
I love old buildings and this is a great place to explore.
