一関市千厩町奥玉と上折壁の境界にあり、室根山の麓にある三枚山金山。 坑道口は奥玉地区に3箇所、上折壁地区に2箇所が記憶に残されています。 昭和12年からは、国策として「日本鉱業三枚山鉱山」として本格的な鉱山運営がなされ、縦坑は90メートル、水平坑の延長は40キロメートルにも及ぶといわれました。 事務所跡裏の林の奥に山吹抗の跡があるが坑道が陥没した跡が見られる。
