The team and instructors at Icon are amazing. The classes for beginners are perfect, as you get the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of Jiu-Jitsu with a methodical approach that is easy to follow, so that when you progress to sparing, you have a system that allows you to survive and make progress. Now that I've been training with the team for 3 months, I've just started to try a little bit of light sparring for the first few times (not that you have to rush into it - you can take your time if doing so works better for you), and every single person I have partnered with has made a real effort to teach me and help me get a firmer handle on what I've been learning. There are people of all different shapes, sizes, ability and experience levels, with different goals or whatever, but consistently the feeling everyone here emits is \we're all one team\. If you're thinking of joining, you definitely should come down and give it a go.
