Monument that can only make you quiet. Always someone son, since I am a father, these words really make you think about the stupidity of these wars, that really didn't have a winner if you think about all the cruelties and human losses all parties had.

Probably the single most moving monument I’ve visited. A powerful reminder and impressive of those who lost their lives. I’ve travelled here several times to visit and pay my respects. The Last Post that is incredibly played here every evening is very powerful. Get here early for a good spot, it can get crowded. It’s a must see.
Great place to find peace and see some nice views of the old town called Ypres, close to the main shopping street too, I recommend leaving early so that you can park close by. And have a lot of time to see everything. For corona times there is public toilets right next to the gate.
An absolute honour to be part of the evening ceremony and lay a wreath in honour of the fallen from our home towns. A humbling experience to read the names on the memorial. The youth of so many nations lost. The Last Post Association has our utmost respect for honouring the fallen every evening
No better place to commemorate the madness of war. Always impressive, always serene.
As a member of the Last Post Association, I attend many of the Ceremonies, every time it's a very moving experience, especially this year with the restrictions. Great Day.
It's a moving remembrance of what must never happen again. They really do organise everything well and make sure everyone gets the instructions. Only a bit sad to have to wait for so long to make sure you get a place but that is what happens with corona and that is not something the organisers can do anything about. All in all a nice experience.
Quick visit lovely town ,take note don't serve evening meals till 6PM if you're on a day trip and have limited time
