If you are need help using ATM, just ask the people who working inside. They will help you. Prepare some words for asking help and other things needed (paper of payment/transfer information, etc). They will likely know English words related to banking. But, a printout using Japanese words will surely help.

便利だけど、受付のおばさんの愛想がない。 「お預かり致します。」等の言葉がなく、ずっと無言で事を進める。 他の郵便局は入ったり、出るときに挨拶があるけど、ここの郵便局は挨拶がない。
