We ( me my husband 3 young children and dog ) have just got back from the most amazing week stay at hill view house! I beleive we are the first guest to stay since new owners have taken over and we are so impressed!! Before arrival we were sent a email with a link that took us to all the information we needed I.e how to get there, how to get in the house, how to use all appliances. So arrival was smooth. When we got in the house its was huge (my kids called it the mansion ) clean, warm and homely it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Underfloor heating dishwasher huge fridge freezer Alexa speakers iron washing machine hairdryer and cupboards full off new clean cooking utensils plates glasses even loads of plastic stuff for the kids! They have thought of everything and have clearly worked very hard on the house to make it a amazing holiday let! The hot tub was clean and ready to go so we got straight in and omg the view in the back garden is incredible!! The beds were super comfy with brand new fresh bedding lovely walk in shower! The kids loved the play room full off toys books DVDs and games and the arcade machine went down a treat! Other than the house being massive and lovely the location is fab its 10 minutes away from the most amazing beaches ( we went to 5) there is no neighbor's so you don't have to worry about keeping the noise down! Lidl and tesco round the corner! We really didnt want to leave it was just the best week! We will 100% be back and would recommend to everyone thank you so much sam and nick for a wonderful stay! We will be back very soon X

Huge place, warm and cosy. Private and remote yet short drive to lots of places. Lovely Indian restaurant delivery. Hot tub and big garden added bonus. Loved our stay here
My family and I stayed here for a short break in October. We had a lovely time and the house was a fantastic base and accommodated us well. The owners were very polite and accommodating. The location of the property is fantastic and there was plenty to explore and see. I would agree with comments in the other reviews that the house could do with a good clean, a little more attention to detail from the cleaning team required, however this certainly didn’t impact our ability to enjoy the property. Would love to come back!
So where do I start. We arrived for our mon-friday stay the cleaner was still there it was just aswell as I had been given no information on how we get in where the keys were etc I had to message and ask . We walk in and oh my the sofas are fit for the skip they had massive holes in where the bottoms have given way, the cooking trays were blackband discusting beds well again stained sheets and ripped pillow cases. I've never seen such USED things in all my life especially in a holiday let. Curtain poles taped up in the middle to keep them together, Toilets that won't even flush tissue away we had to take the bin insert out and fill that every time we flushed the toilet just to get it to go. The garden dog poo everywhere and the hot tub was not only cold for nearly 2 days it was DIRTY solid scum around the edges inside that took some scrubbing to even get off . It's a big house but most definitely been left for a long time with poor maintenance. I did message and the cleaner did come back and change the bedding and pick the poo up but all in all an uncomfortable stay in which we ended up coming home early.

Wonderful house, not clean at all, urine on mattress and on bathroom radiator. Boiler leaking, only 1 rack on dishwasher, other broken. Rubbish behind cabinets, hot tub was brilliant, at 26 degrees when arrived.
The good bits: spacious house,sheltered garden, hot tub OK, quiet location. The not so good bits: Leaking boiler, leaking taps,broken dishwasher, bedding in need of replacement,toilets, missing light bulbs on bedside table.
Gorgeous location with views over to south Wales.. All be it right next to a water treatment site...
