Nurdle is rated 3 out of 5 in the category making marine plastic extinct.. Read and write reviews about Nurdle. Nurdles are the raw pre-industrial form of plastic and are one of the worst ocean plastic pollutants there is. An estimated 6,600,000,000,000 individual nurdles pollute european seas, and they are notoriously hard to remove. They are often ingested by fish, who mistake them for floating fish eggs or birds, who pick at the tideline in search of maggots and larvae in the seaweed. Plastic pollution is an issue that together we can fix. Community groups and beach cleans are doing a fantastic job at removing tonnes of ocean plastic every week, But no one is focusing on the small stuff. We have found a way to remove micro-plastics as efficiently and as practically as possible and we genuinely want to make a difference. We make sand sifting trommel machines, to aid in unearthing buried plastic from the sand. We focus specifically on micro-plastic nurdles, as these tiny plastic pellets cause havoc on our wildlife and beach cleaning communities find these particular plastic pests the hardest to recover. Our sieves are specifically designed to remove as much plastic as possible whilst leaving all the sand and essential organic matter on the beach. We give away free blueprints of our trommel sieves; we donate beach cleaning equipment to the worst affected coastlines, with 100% of our profits go towards the removal of ocean plastic waste. We believe global environmental issues are not going to be solved with monetary greed, we are trying to do the planet a good deed and believe that together, we can make the world a cleaner, better place. Our mission is simple; to build an army of machines to support coastal communities around the world.
