Fantastic aquarium situated in the harbour showing all local marine life from freshwater to saltwater. On arrival we stopped for a coffee where we were greeted by friendly and happy staff, plus a very friendly cat who liked lots of stroking. Inside the aquarium were lots of different tanks containing all local varieties of marine life. The staff inside were very knowledgeable, friendly and approachable with any questions. We spent over an hour inside, and could have spent longer very easily. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Went here for something different to do, not knowing what to expect for the low price but this was a really pleasant little surprise! It’s not the biggest, so you definitely won’t spend all afternoon here, but it was a good hour walk round. The staff were friendly and informative, even getting out one of the starfish to stroke for the children visiting. Lots of different creatures to see and a nice viewing platform for seeing more of the rays. Will be making a return visit for sure.
Quite a small aquarium, however the staff were brilliant, the man who was walking around inside was knowledgeable and was even willing to try and feed the octopus to see if it would come out so my little boy could see him better. Little touches like providing steps for children to see better was all worth the small entrance fee, I would go again next time I visit Ilfracombe.
Very nice aquarium. It seems very small on the outside. But like the TARDIS it is really big on the inside. The fish and sea creatures look well looked after by the staff. The staff are very knowledgeable on the animals and can answer most questions. The entrance fee allows you to come and go as you please for the whole day. Well worth a look!
Great little aquarium highlighting the local marine life, it's very small but reasonably priced and well run with engaging and well informed staff. Gift shop also reasonably priced. Great for kids.
Loved it, was happy to experience the various sea life in comparison to other sea life from other oceans. Would visit again.
The tiniest aquarium I have ever been in in my whole life. It is literally just one small room with tanks around the edges. There is a very small selection of marine life to see despite them bigging it up as having over 40 species.. I'm not sure where they all were.. tanks are tiny, staff a little short with my niece. For what is there, the price is very steep and literally will take 30-40 mins to do the whole thing. Plus side is my niece enjoyed the quiz that she was given to do and enjoyed practicing her writing by writing the names of the fish she saw. Honestly though, I wouldn't make a special trip for this place, we drove 1.5 hours to get here and were very disappointed
