We thoroughly enjoyed a lovely evening last night at the Thatch in Ilfracombe. We were seen to a cosy little table and really enjoyed the dressed crab and bbq chicken. Fabulous environment and great food. Nothing was too much trouble and it was great to get out again and enjoy the atmosphere. Exactly what you would expect from a great foodie pub. One of the dining highlight's of Ilfracombe

We have been here a couple of times before and really enjoyed the pub and atmosphere. Today's visit was okay but lacking in areas. The tables were sticky even though we'd reserved a table, so no people there before us. We have an awkward child and checked the Internet before coming to check that they had a pasta dish on the kids menu (they had Macaroni cheese) but when we arrived, no pasta dish. The food was still really good. The steak was good and cooked properly... often at places medium is overcooked but this was good. Service was also good. The menu was limited and empty specials board :-( The place was quite empty which isn't how we've seen it before. Parking was difficult, very small car park.

This is a welcoming little pub with great food. The thatch burger is amazing and the fries are outstanding. This pub is family friendly with nice staff. This pub caters for all. My dish is empty and the meals fill you up. Its lovely on the inside and nice on the outside. I would recommend this pub to all!

Our local pub. Always excellent, good food and great beer selection. At these difficult times the pub has covid safe measures in place. Owners and staff are brilliant.

Loved this place during a short break to Ilfracombe. Staff are so friendly, great selection of drinks with local beers, and the food was fantastic at a great price. We only had 4 evenings in Ilfracombe but went for dinner here twice including on our last night because we enjoyed it so much. Lovely and cosy inside and a great outside space too. Thanks for having us and making us feel so welcome!
