Nice big modern pub, in a nice area with a decent outside area and ample parking. Location good as near a303. Food and drink is expensive, we visited during eat out to help out, so menú reduced however its not good, everything fried and fatty, pretty tasteless and only 1 veg option. Main meals were around 11ish, but yeah not great, it is a marstons chain pub so wasn't expecting anything fancy. Service was decent though, friendly table service, few glasses were waiting to be collected from several tables and a good wipe down but was reasonably busy but all in all an OK place for a drink and I guess if you have children to feed quickly and can't go anywhere better. Shame as its got potential to be a nice pub due to size and location. Would only give it 2.5 stars if I'm honest
We are on holiday here so booked a table to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. The food unfortunately was not great. Scampi and chips were not very hot although it did come with garnish (lemon and tartae) Steak was full of gristle. We requested ketchup but it never came and we had to go to bar to get some. No staff came over to ask how our food was at any stage. As this was the only pub in the area and looked good from outside we thought it might be a good meal. Pretty dissapointed overall. Covid restrictions were okay. Hand gel at the door entry. Tables 2m apart. Although people were playing pool (are the cues sanitised?) Pub didn't really have any atmosphere and looked quite tired. I realise restrictions have impacted on places like this but for the public I feel they could make little improvements to make their experience better. Hence the 2 stars.
Fantastic covid measures. Everyone has plenty of space. Lots of well displayed satatizing points. Plenty of cleaning taking place. Very friendly helpful staff. Good quality food
Nice pub, recently refurbed with a large car park - we had 3 kids & 3 adults and they catered for us well for lunch. Food was ok ish, nothing to shout about though, but it was also very reasonably priced, so I guess you get what you pay for!
Went after being cancelled by another restaurant. Food good and cheapish. Good covid rules. Staff could have been more cheerful.
Good food, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. I always enjoy this pub when I am visiting the area.
Nice pub, clean and tidy. Deserts are marvelous.
